Daniel Glenn Brewster 65 of Kimbolton, formerly of Ravenna, passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at the Louis Stokes VA Medical Center in Cleveland. He was born August 3, 1945 in Cuyahoga Falls to the late Jack and Helen (Mulvaney) Brewster. He was a very proud Vietnam veteran serving two tours with Army and one with the Navy. Dan was a lifelong member of the V.F.W. Post 1055, and was a member of the American Legion Post 331. He was a very proud AA member with 14 ½ years of sobriety, and a member of the Disabled American Veterans. Survivors include his daughter, Denise (Randy) Bergman of Ravenna, son, Steve Brewster of Kent, sister Kathy Capretta of Roy, UT, 15 grandchildren, daughter-in-law, Jamie Brewster of Rootstown, mother-in-law, Millie Desmett of Rootstown, niece, Stephanie (Chris) Frampton of Farmington, UT, nephew Brian (Sandra) Crocker of Germany, cousin, Ron Kline of Stow, who was more of a brother to Dan, his very large AA family and his faithful companion, “Taz”. Besides his parents, Dan is preceded in death by the love of his life, his Sunshine, Joan M. Brewster, son, Kelly Brewster and nephew, David Crocker. Memorial services will be held at 12:00 PM Saturday, April 2, 2011 at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home, Ravenna Chapel, with calling hours 1 hour prior to service. Rev. Carl Holm will be officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Park at a later date.
