Daniel Owen Cummons, Sr.

Daniel Owen Cummons, Sr 77 of Ravenna passed away Wednesday January 8, 2014 at the Robinson Memorial Hospital in Ravenna, Ohio.  He was born November 6, 1936 in Chardon, Ohio to the late Earl and Freda Cummons.  Being a lifelong Ravenna resident, Mr. Cummons retired from the AC Williams Company and attended the Kent Church of the Nazarene.  He enjoyed watching wrestling, walking , music and was an avid coin collector and collecting antiques.  Survivors include his wife of 58 years  Anna Marie (Ferrell) Cummons, his children Regina (Tom) George, Julie (Jason) Kalbaugh, Daniel Cummons, Jr,  his grandchildren Anthony Cummons, Steve Cummons, Jayson Kalbaugh, Jr., Summer Kalbaugh, Melissa Mackey, Theresa Stemple, Kenny Stemple, Jr. , his great grandchildren Christopher, David, Corey, Mike III, Dave, Gage, Carrie, Chrissy, Thomas, Patrick, Tyler and Brittany.  Also surviving are his siblings Wayne Cummings, Dessie Robinson, Hester Genrich, Lois Captain.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings Curt, Howard, Marlin Cummons, Violet Holbrook, Edith Secoy and June Evelyn.  Calling hours will be 2-4 and 6-8 PM Monday January 13, 2014 at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel where funeral services will be 11 AM Tuesday January 14, 2014 with his brother Rev. Wayne Cummings Officiating.  Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery Ravenna, Ohio.
