Daniel G. Edwards, 87 of Ravenna passed away Saturday July 18, 2015 at his residence. He was born October 6, 1927 in Charlestown Twp., Ohio to the late Wade and Hilda (Hummel) Edwards. He was a lifelong Ravenna Twp. resident and retired as the owner and operator of Dan's Carry out Beverage in Blackhorse. He proudly served his country with the US Army during WW II. Survivors include his loving niece and caregiver Beverly Noll of Brady Lake, his daughter Diana "DeeDee" (Charles) Mosolf of Juno Beach, Florida, his sisters Dorothy (Douglas) Lemasters of Strongsville and Eunice Smith of Rocky River, three grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Also surviving Dan are his daughter in law Becky Edwards of California and sister in law Kathryn Edwards of Utah. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Narissa on April 30, 2005, his son Daniel Edwards, Jr., two sisters and two brothers. Funeral services will be 11:00 Am on Tuesday July 21, 2015 at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel where calling hours will be from 10:00 AM until time of services. Burial with military honors by the US Army and Ravenna VFW Post 1055 will follow in Charlestown Twp. Cemetery . The family requests memorial donations to the Portage County Society of the Blind.
