Daniel L. Slack

Daniel L. Slack 63 of Edinburg passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at Akron General Hospital. He was born February 8, 1959 in Ravenna, Ohio to the late Bruce E. and Goldie M. (McPeak) Slack. Dan graduated from Southeast High School in 1977. Dan went on to study heating and cooling, kicking off a 35-year career at McKinley Commercial in Akron. Dan enjoyed 38 years of marriage with his loving wife Rose (Lubish). Among his many loves in life, including summers at the river and cheering on the Browns and Buckeyes, his true passion was his loved ones and spending time making memories with family and friends. Survivors include his wife Rose Slack, daughters Kelly (Dan) Filus, Sarah Slack (Darin Ward), and Stephanie (Branden) Fletcher, 5 grandchildren: Eloise, Claire, Luke, Jack, and Harper and a sister Karen (Bill) Warwood nephew & niece,  Jim & Kym Mix, nephew Bobby (Tammy) Mix, great nieces & nephew, Abbey (15)Lizzy (13)Taylor (10), Maggie  (7), and Johnny (11). He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Larry Slack and Kathy Kehres. Dan will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, coworker and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Calling hours will be from 5 PM to 8 PM Monday, August 29, 2022 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel with closing words by Reverend Tim Paroz. Celebration of life will be held on Saturday September 3, 2022 from 2pm -5pm at 5862 State Route 14, Ravenna 44266.
