Dannie M. Tasker, 82, of Wayland died Wednesday, August 8, 2012. He was born July 27, 1930 in Vindex, Maryland to Randall H. and Mabel I. (Paugh) Tasker. Dannie was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp. He retired from Parker Hannifin where he was a lead man. Dannie enjoyed fishing, camping and especially spending time with his grandchildren and family. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Leona (Turner), daughter Carolyn Lee of Wayland, sons Richard (Tammy) of Wayland, James (Celeste) of Mineral Ridge, William (Cindy) of Brimfield, David (Katie) of Wayland and Ray (Stacey) of Champion. Dannie had 11 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren. He also leaves behind a sister, Myrtle Carr, of Maryland, and brother Darryl of West Virginia. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Melvin Paugh. Calling hours will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Friday, August 10, 2012 and 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 11, 2012 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home-Ravenna Chapel. Rev. Jim Kyle and Rev. Brad Edder will officiate. Burial will follow at Hawley Cemetery in Paris Township.
