Darrel N Dean

Darrel N. Dean, 89 of Chagrin Falls and formerly of Freedom, passed away Wednesday April 10, 2024 at the David Simpson Hospice House in Cleveland.  He was born March 23, 1935 in Exchange, West Virginia to the late Okey Lee and Sarah Belle (Singleton) Dean.  Living in Chagrin Falls the past four years, he had retired from Teledyne Monarch in Hartville and had also worked the First Congregation Church in Ravenna.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Pete Dean, Hazel Boone and Macel Warner.  Survivors include his wife of 69 years Mary L. (Wymer) Dean, whom he married June 12, 1954, his children Cynthia Norris, Michael Dean, Teresa (Timothy) Ohl, his grandchildren Mandy, Hrabak (Justin), Cassie Ohl, Leif Norris, Gayle Norris and five great grandchildren.  In honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday April 20, 2024 at the Kent Elks Club.  Condolences and memories of Darrel may be shared with his family at www.sscfuneralhomes.com.
