Darren Christopher Hench

Darren C. Hench 57 of Akron, formerly of Deerfield, passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2022. He was born August 12, 1965 in Ravenna, Ohio to Orville and Patricia C. (Browning) Hench. Darren was a US Navy veteran and worked as a sales manager for Applied Vision. Survivors include his wife Francine Ulics, daughters Heather (Jefferey) Davenport and Ashley N. Hench, grandson Oliver Davenport , beloved aunt Donna Smith, siblings Michelle (Roy) Burkhead, Melissa Russell, Cindy (Brad Brewer) Weyer, stepbrother Steve Haraswn and half sister Wendy Odena. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Chris, his beloved grandmother Sadie Browning and a brother Brian Hench. Memorial calling hours will be from 6 - 8 PM Friday, November 4, 2022 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, November 5, 2022 at the funeral home with Reverend William Snyder officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Shalersville.
