Darwin W. Welch, Sr. "Darvon"

Darwin W. Welch, Sr. "Darvon" 61 of Ravenna passed away Thursday August 12, 2010 at Robinson Memorial Hospital in Ravenna, Ohio.  He was born February 1, 1949 in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio to the late Lester and Margaret (Weckerly) Welch.  He has lived in Ravenna the past 22 years and retired from Smoke City in Kent where he worked as a salesman.  He was a great father who enjoyed riding his motorcycle, where he was the past president of the Born Free Motorcycle Club.  Survivors include his son Darwin W. Welch, Jr. of Ravenna, daughters  Dawn (Paul, Jr.) Kerns of Ravenna, Michele Welch-Talcott of Copley, OH, four grandchildren, one great grandchild, brothers Jack Welch of Akron, Lester Welch of Alliance and sister Mary Lockley of Ravenna.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Don Welch.  Calling hours will be 2-5 PM Sunday August 15, 2010 at the Shorts-Spicer-Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel where funeral services will be 11:00 AM Monday August 16, 2010 with Rev.
