David Steven Bencze, 84 of Streetsboro passed away Sunday, February 19, 2012 at Aurora Manor. David was born April 12, 1927 in Campbell, Ohio, to the late Steve and Helen (Nemeth) Bencze. David spent his youth on a farm in Berlin Center, Ohio. During WWII David left high school to do his duty for his country. He had lived in Streetsboro since 1950, where he was a member of Streetsboro United Methodist Church and active in the Lions Club. David loved traveling, camping, wood working, and fishing. He is survived by his children, David (Kathy) Bencze of Hudson, Susan (Joe) Skowronski of Fairfield, New Jersey, Janice (Jeff) Teece of Pendleton, New York, Robert (Connie) Bencze of Randolph; ten grandchildren, David, Mary, Joseph, Jeffrey, Kristi, Alecia, Brett, Courtney, Clint, and Dylan; and one great-grandchild, David. In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his sisters, Julia Zuti, Betty Fodor, Olga Kujaski, and Rose DeFelice. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 6 PM until the 8PM service, at the Shorts-Spicer-Crislip Funeral Home,Streetsboro Chapel. Burial will take place on Monday, February 27, 2012 at 11:30PM in Ohio Western Reserve Cemetery, Rittman, Ohio.
