David L. "Butch" Artz

David L. "Butch" Artz 78 of Charlestown Township died Monday, October 31, 2016 after a long illness. He was born September 14, 1938 in Ravenna to Joseph and Emma (Kundel) Artz. Butch worked in the family business at Marshalls Dry Cleaning and All Pro Carpet Cleaning. He loved classic cars and going to car shows with his wife. Butch was an animal lover especially his dog Maggie. Survivors include his wife of 53 years Sally A. (Slike), brothers William and Roger (Patsy) Artz both of Ravenna, nieces Sherie Wright and Cara (James) Hughes, nephews Robert Artz, Joseph (Carrie) Artz and Christopher (Rachel) Artz, many great nieces and nephews and sister in law Libby (John Croasmun) Plum. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister in law Judy Artz. There will be no calling hours or services cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials to the Portage County APL, PO Box 927, Ravenna, Ohio 44266.
