David E. Pitzer

David E. Pitzer 81 of Ravenna passed away Wednesday July 8, 2015 at the Robinson Memorial Hospital in Ravenna, Ohio.   Mr. Pitzer was born to the late parents  Earl B. and Pauline (Strawderman) Pitzer on January 29, 1934.  He has lived in Ravenna since 1965 and retired from the Chrysler Corporation  of Twinsburg in 1995.  Mr. Pitzer was a member of the Ravenna Moose #1234, Nordonia Hills Gun Club, APCO Gun Club and was an avid hunter and bowler.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Mitzi Pitzer on December 7, 2005 and his sister Cheyla Kay McVicker.  Survivors include his brothers Paul, Gene and his wife Joan both of WVA, Lowell and his wife Sue of Missouri, his sisters Noretta and her husband John Thomas Frey of WVA, Sandra and her husband Cecil Simpson of VA , Karen and her husband Marvin Whaley of GA and numerous nieces and nephews.  Visitation will be Sunday July 12, 2015 from 2-5PM at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel where funeral services will be 10:00 AM Monday July 13, 2015 with Rev. Bill Snyder Officiating.  Burial will follow the services at Grandview Memorial Park Ravenna, Ohio.  Condolences and memories of Mr. Pitzer may be shared with the family at www.sscfuneralhomes.com
