Delano R. "Dale" Brown 76 of Ravenna passed away Thursday August 25, 2016 at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born July 7, 1940 in Charleston, WVA to the late Robert and Katherine (Cook) Brown. Dale was the owner of the Brown Fence Company and enjoyed the outdoors especially hunting, fishing and gardening. Survivors include his children Doug (Sandy) Brown of Mantua, Ohio, Thomas Brown of Ravenna, Debbie (Mark) Miller, Laurie Brown, Heidi Brown -Anderson and daughter in law Donna Brown all of Ravenna. Fifteen grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. His siblings Judy Thompson of Hardy VA, Brenda Bainbridge of Parrott, VA, Charles (Helen) Brown of Christiansburg, VA, Elbert Bo (Carolyn) Brown of Atwater. Also surviving him is his caregiver and mother of his children Charlotte Todd. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Mary, his son James Brown and several brothers and sisters. Calling hours will be Thursday September 1, 2016 from 6-8 Pm and on Friday September 2, 2106 from 10:00 AM until time of funeral services at 11:00 Am at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel with Pastor Danny Peyton officiating. Burial will follow the services at Grandview Memorial Park Ravenna, Ohio.
