Delmar Cottrell

Delmar Cottrell 69 of Paris Township and Alliance, passed away Thuesday, June 11, 2026 at his residence. He was born May 4, 1957 in Ravenna, Ohio to Willie and Elizabeth (Simmons) Cottrell. Delmar worked as a blacksmith at American Steel Foundries in Alliance, Ohio.He was a man known for his generous heart, unwavering kindness, and willingness to help anyone in need. Whether family, friend, neighbor, or stranger, he never hesitated to lend a hand or share what he had with others. Above all, he was a devoted father who cherished his family. He took great pride in his children and grandchildren, and his love for them was evident in everything he did. His strength, wisdom, and sense of humor created lasting memories that will be treasured forever. Survivors include his sons Tyler (Whitney) Cottrell, Nathan (Krysten) Cottrell and Chris (Amanda) Cottrell, grandchildren Grace, Cade, Colby, Zoey, Everett and Morgan, siblings Alan Cottrell, Mike Cottrell, Marsha Hann and Michelle Feldt and brother in law Rob Thomas. He was preceded in death by his mother, father and his sister Robin Thomas. Cremation has taken place. Memorial visitation will be held from 1 PM to 3 PM on Sunday, July 26, 2026 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel.
