Dixie L (Maffo) Wolf

Dixie L. Wolf, 74 died Friday, October 1, 2010 in Akron, OH. She was born on Sept. 23, 1936 in Cleveland to the late Peter P. & Dorothy I. (Blunk) Maffo. The second of six children, Dixie grew up in Cleveland and married the late Robert B. Malcolm. They had six children and divorced in 1973. She then married the late Paul C. Wolf in 1974 and spent 12 years with him.  Dixie then moved to Kent where she was active in the community working many years as a volunteer with the Center of Hope in Portage County, and was a volunteer at her local polling precinct. She was an active resident at Kentway Apartments where she lived.  She is survived her daughters, Theresa Smith of FL, Sandra Douglass of Kent, Linda (Bill) Havens of Charlestown, sons, Robert (Debra) Malcolm of Youngstown, Mark Malcolm, Gary (Wendy) Malcolm both of Kent, sister, Noreen Miller of Olmsted  Twp, Patricia Maffo of Cleveland, brother, Peter Maffo of Perry, grandchildren, April Heeter, Alan Noble Jr., Toni (Derek) Fay, Donny Douglass, Rachel Douglass, Doug Robinson, Mary Miller, Cheyenne Malcolm, Paisley Cooper, Eric Malcolm, Cory Havens, Amy, Bonnie, Robert, Timothy Andrew, Christopher, great grandchildren, Garret Fairchild, Brayen Noble, Lyrica Heeter, Logan Noble, Brady Cummons, Devin Cummons, Trey Cummons, Megan Fay, Daniel Fay, Kayden Miller, and a longtime friend, Terrence McNally. Besides her husbands, and parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Papa, and brother, Stephen Maffo.  Calling hours will be held from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Monday, October 4, 2010 at the Shorts-Spicer- Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel.  Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, October 5, 2010 with Pastor Joel Theis officiating.
