Dolores May “Debby” Cye, 88 formerly of South Euclid, died Saturday, June 20, 2015. She was born on January 13, 1927 in New Kensington, PA. to the late John and Julia Swipas. Debby grew up in the Youngstown-Warren area and lived most of her life in South Euclid before moving to Streetsboro ten years ago. She worked in accounting for TRW and later Kelly-Kitt, and was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Streetsboro. Debby was an avid reader, enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, watching tennis and golf, and she loved to cook.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Edmund Cye, daughter, Denise L. Pasquale, sister Isabel Richards, and brother John Swipas. Surviving are her daughter Diane M. Cye, son-in-law Steve Pasquale, grandchildren; Drew (Melissa) Pasquale, Lydia (Alex) Stuckert, and Julia Pasquale, great-grandchildren; Mason and Emersyn Pasquale, and Bryce and Blake Stuckert. Also surviving are her brother Joseph (Patricia) Swipas and several nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at 10:00 AM at St. John of Arc Catholic Church in Streetsboro with Fr. Pat Ferraro, Celebrant. (Everyone please meet at the church). A private family burial will take place at All Souls cemetery in Chardon. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4:00PM-7:00PM at the Shorts-Spicer-Crislip Funeral Home in Streetsboro. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to the local public library of choice.
