Dolores "Dolly" Rhodes Puckett 86 of Ravenna has gone to be with the Lord on February 17, 2013, after a prolonged illness. Born at home at Little Pond Creek, Sherman, West Virginia, she was the daughter of Fred and Grace (Kimes) Joy. Dolly was retired from Maplewood Care Center where she was employed as a care giver. She was an avid Cleveland Indians fan, win, lose, or rain. As a lifelong Christian, Dolly attended Brady Lake Baptist and Mantua Country Baptist Churches. She is survived by her children, Sharlene Morris of Champion, Sharon (Garry) Red fern of Freedom Township, and Michael Rhodes of Ravenna, grandchildren Kim (Todd) Garland of Newton Falls, Tina (Michael) Whitmore of Ravenna, Mark (Kim) Morris of Champion and Lisa (John) Morton of Mantua, great grandchildren Holly and Nathan Such, Maggie Garland, Audrey, Jacob and Martha Whitmore, Bud, Megan, Nick and Zachary Morris, Ben Holland, and Timothy and Hannah Morton, stepchildren Kathleen (Doug) Hagerman of NC, Robert (Debbie) Puckett of Ravenna and Steven (Allie) Puckett of FL , several step-grandchildren, sister Vivian (Lawrence) Elliot of WV, brother Dorsel (Phyllis) Joy of Newton Falls and many special nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her husbands the Reverend S.D. Rhodes and the Reverend J. R. Puckett, brothers the Reverend Leland Joy and the Reverend Herndon Joy and sister LaVern King. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Calling hours will be from 5 to 8 PM Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel, where services will be held at 11:30 AM Thursday, February 21, 2013 with Reverend Virgil Elkins and Reverend Murray Bay officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park in Ravenna. The family would like to especially thank Bonnie Klusty of Bonnie's Home Health Care and the nurses of palliative and hospice care at Robinson Memorial Hospital. The family request memorials be made to Robinson Memorial Hospice.
