Donald W Holt

Donald W. Holt, 63 of Cleveland, passed away on Friday November 4, 2022 at Heather Knoll Nursing Home in Tallmadge, Ohio. On August 24, 1959 Donald was born in Mount Gilead, Ohio to the late (Orville) Dean and Donna Jean (Wheeler) Holt. Donald had retired from The US Army serving as a Green Beret with the 82nd Airborne from 1979 through 1993, then became a Drill Sergeant Instructor until he retired in June of 1995. After his retirement from the US Army he went to work for and retired from the Laborers Union Local 860. Donald grew up in Ravenna, graduating from Ravenna High School, he enjoyed football and baseball growing up, but turned to wrestling in High School. Donald was a wonderful brother and mentor to his brothers and sisters. Survivors include his children Joshua Holt, Linsey (Devon) Drusky and siblings Robert Holt, Tami (Lenny) Sorboro, Michelle Holt and Joseph Holt, and numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday November 20th, 2022 at 2pm at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel. He will be laid to rest with Military Honors on Monday November 21st, 2022 in the Ohio Western Reserve Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio.
