Donald Fredrick Stombaugh 46 of Ravenna died Thursday, March 24, 2011. He was born November 13, 1964 in Portsmouth, Ohio to Fredrick Jack and Charlotte (Justice) Stombaugh. He enjoyed success as a pitcher in hot stove and everyone loved his smile. Survivors include his mother Charlotte Smith of Ravenna, grandmother Mary Heil of Michigan, sisters Brenda (Brett) Linton of Ravenna and Charlene (Jeff) Gregg of Garrettsville, 6 nieces, Briana, Larissa, Tanya, Brooke, Jessica and Blair, nephew Bryce, great nieces Kaelynn and Emilynn and great nephew Ryder. He was preceded in death by his father Fredrick Jack Stombaugh and stepfather Donald "Smitty" Smith. Calling hours will be from 6 to 8 PM Monday, March 28, 2011 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel, where services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 29, 2011 with Reverend William Snyder officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Ravenna. In lieu of flowers memorials should be made to the ALS Association NE Ohio Chapter, 2500 E. 22nd Street, Cleveland, Ohio 44115 or Robinson Hospice, 6847 N. Chestnut Street, Ravenna, Ohio 44266.
