Donna L (Workman) Stratton

Donna L. Stratton, 80 of Streetsboro, passed away Monday February 17, 2020 at Aurora Manor Nursing Home.  Mrs. Stratton was a beloved teacher, cherished grandmother, and devoted friend.  She will be forever missed.  On April 16, 1939, she was born in Shadyside, Ohio to the late Frank and Eleanor (Hopkins) Workman.  Mrs. Stratton has lived in Streetsboro the past 53 years and earned her Master's of Education from Kent State University.  She retired from the Streetsboro City Schools and after retirement taught GED classes thru ABLE.  She was a former member of the Frost Road Chapel in Streetsboro and was very active in the Hope Community Church in Hudson.  Mrs. Stratton was Queen Mother of the Red-Capped Chickadees in Streetsboro and a proud member of the Streetsboro Quilt Guild.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Richard Workman.  She is survived by her children Linda K. Bell,  Jill A. Stancil,  Karen S. (Jack) Reminder, Michael A. (Valentina) Stratton, her  grandchildren Tucker, Cooper, Sara, Rachel, Zach, Stephanie,  Nicholas, Kailey, her great grandchildren Jonathan, Carmela, her sister Betty (James) Smith, and sister-in-law Cheri Workman.  Calling hours will be from 4-7 PM Friday February 21, 2020 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes (Streetsboro Chapel) where funeral services will be 1:00 PM Saturday with Pastor Jeff Schofield officiating.  Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery Streetsboro, Ohio.  Condolences and memories of Donna may be shared with her family at www.sscfuneralhomes.com
