Doris E. Wilcox 90 of Kent, formerly of Streetsboro, died Saturday, August 24, 2013. She was born December 23, 1922 in Ravenna, Ohio to Frank P. and Emma Susan (Workman) Cunningham. Doris was a member of the Streetsboro United Methodist Church and had been the secretary to the superintendent at Streetsboro City Schools . Survivors include her daughters Sheryl (Tom) Davenport of Rochester Hills, MI and Cindy (Greg) Huck of Kent, sons Larry Wilcox of Jerusalem, Ohio and Doug (Joni) Wilcox of Jackson Twp., OH, 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband E. Ross Wilcox in 2001, daughter in law Judith Wilcox, sisters Maxine Warner, Mildred Eatinger, Elva Ball, Dorothy Dailey and Eleanor Clark and a brother Warner Cunningham. Calling hours will be from 5 - 8 PM Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Streetsboro Chapel. Funeral services will be at 11 AM Thursday, August 29, 2013 at the funeral home with Reverend Byron George officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Streetsboro. In lieu of flowers memorials should be made to Hattie Larlham Fund, 9772 Diagonal Road, Mantua, OH 44255 or Robinson Memorial Hospice, 6847 N. Chestnut Street, Ravenna, OH 44266 .
