Doris M. Wollenberg 93 of Ravenna passed away Thursday, June 24, 2010 at Kent Ridge Assisted Living. She was born May 2, 1917 in Cleveland Heights to the late Ezra and Edith (Hadley) Matthews. A lifelong resident of Portage County she worked at the Ravenna Arsenal, was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and a member of the Ravenna Senior Center. Doris is survived by her friend Patricia Turi of Kent. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Wollenberg, son, Joey Wollenberg Jr, sister, Mary Cox, and brothers, Gilbert, Clyde, Earl, and John Matthews. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, June 28, 2010 at Immaculate Conception Church with Father John Michael Lavelle officiating. Cremation will take place and burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery at a later date. Memorial can me made to the Ravenna Senior Center in the memory of Doris.
