Dorothea C. Mascio, 85, of Ravenna, passed away on Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at Robinson Memorial Hospital. She was born on March 15, 1925 in Columbus to the late William and Dorothy (Cannon) Bargar. She came to Ravenna in 1943 and worked as a waitress at the East Park Restaurant where she met her future husband, Olindo Mascio. They were married in 1946 and enjoyed 46 years of marriage until his death in 1992. Dorothea was a homemaker. She was a lifelong Cleveland Browns fan, often attending home games with her husband. She enjoyed shopping and was a past member of the Federated Democratic Women, the Italian American Ladies Auxiliary and Immaculate Conception Church in Ravenna. Survivors include her sons, Gary and Nick (Susan), both of Ravenna, grandchildren, Erica and David, sister in law, Florence Marcello of Ravenna, nephew Bob Bargar of Zanesville, as well as many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be from 5-7 PM TONIGHT Thursday October 28, 2010 at the Shorts-Spicer-Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM Friday October 29, 2010 at Immaculate Conception Church Ravenna, Ohio. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery Ravenna, Ohio.
