Dorothy L. (Baier) Miller

Dorothy L. Miller 92 of Ravenna  passed away Friday December 5, 2014 at the Emeritus in Ravenna.  She was born August 20, 1922 in Eau Galle, Wisconsin to the late Charles and Olivia (Wallerich) Baier.  Mrs. Miller has lived in Ravenna since 1949 and worked as a receptionist for her late husband Dr. Robert Miller.  She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Young at Heart with the church, involved with Tri Sorosis, the Ravenna Jaycees, enjoyed playing cards especially bridge and euchre and loved her flower gardens.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded  in death by her husband Dr. Robert Miller on August 23, 1992 whom she married June 2, 1947, two sisters and three brothers.  Survivors include her children Gerald (Marsha) Miller of Greenville, SC., Patty (Charlie) Booth of Ravenna, Susan (Michael) Harvey of Glenn Allen, VA, Sally (Mike) Beard of Santee, SC, her grandchildren Michael (Jennifer) Pope, Matthew (Erin) Miller, Susann (Shawn) Edwards, Emilie (Kevin) Kroner, her great grandchildren Madisenne Pope, Baikal Miller, Rybolt Miller, Garvin Miller, Robert Edwards, Anna Helen Edwards, Abigail Kroner and Kathryn Kroner. Also surviving are her sister Sharon Smith and brother Jack Baier, both of Wisconsin.  Calling hours will be  4-7PM Tuesday December 9, 2014 at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel.  Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM Wednesday December 10, 2014 at Immaculate Conception Church with Father William B. Kraynak officiating.  Entombment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery Ravenna, Ohio.  The family requests memorials to Immaculate Conception Church
