Dorothy L. (Fox) Mcelroy

Dorothy L. McElroy 85 of Ravenna passed away Monday December 3, 2012 at the Longmeadow Care Center in Ravenna, Ohio. She was born October 16, 1927 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Frank and Daisy (Pierce) Fox. Mrs. McElroy has lived in Ravenna since 1995 and was formerly of Maple Hts. where she worked as a cashier for McDonalds. She was a member of the Portage County Senior Companion and loved to play bingo. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Leslie Mcelroy in 2001, her granddaughter Christine Rogala, brothers Bill and Ed Fox, sisters Mae Bindofer and Vera Ross. Survivors include her sons Leslie (Cheryl) McElroy of Phoenix, Marc McElroy of Ravenna, daughters Laura (David) Meckley of Claypool, Indiana, Teresa Marie (Ron) Blue of Pierston, Indiana, Denise Mulanax of Cleveland, Linda Gaal of Ravenna, Jennifer Ann Scholten of Hudson, 14 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.Calling hours will be Saturday December 8, 2012 from 12 noon until time of funeral services at 2:00 PM at the Shorts-Spicer-Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel with Pastor David Ballert officiating. Her final resting place will be next to her husband in Charlestown Cemetery Charlestown Twp., Ohio.
