Dorothy (Vlcek) Meighen

Dorothy Meighen, age 80, of Streetsboro passed away on Saturday October 15, 2016. Dorothy was born on July 18, 1936 in Barberton, OH to the late John and Lilly (Ralston) Vleck. She was a member of St. Thomas Lutheran Church in Streetsboro, she was also the wife of the late Mayor Paul Meighan. Dorothy is preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years, Paul Meighen. She is survived by her daughter, Constance (Thomas) Cichon of Streetsboro, son Paul W. (Keri) Meighen of CA, grandchildren Samuel (Meggie) Sexton and Mara Alane Meighen and great grandchildren Conner and Cooper Sexton. Her memory is also cherished by her sisters Mary (Edward) Pramuk and Jean Moore, her brother John (Judy) Vlcek and many nieces and nephews. As per Dorothy’s wishes a cremation will take place without any calling hours, or services. A private burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Cleveland Clinic Hospice, for their heartfelt care. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be donated to any human society. Arrangements have been entrusted to Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Streetsboro Chapel.
