Dorothy H. (Tice) Dohse

Dorothy H. Dohse 98 of Ravenna passed away Saturday March 14, 2020 at home surrounded by family, She was born August 28, 1921 in Bens Run, WV to Thomas and Sarah (Allen) Tice. Dorothy retired in 1976 from Colonial Rubber and was a member of the Ravenna VFW Auxiliary. She and her husband Harold enjoyed traveling in their motor home to Florida to visit family and camping at the Ravenna Boat Club. Survivors include her daughter Diane (David) Rock, daughter in law Lee Dohse, 3 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harold, son Robert, 3 granddaughters and 10 siblings. Calling hours will be from 12 PM until time of funeral service at 1 PM Friday, March 20, 2020 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel. Reverend Tim Paroz will officiate. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park in Ravenna. The family wishes to express a special thanks to Dorothy's granddaughter Lisa Rock-Higgins and husband Jeff for their loving help and care. Thanks to Long Meadow Nursing Home for the post-op care and therapy also to In Care Ohio Hospice for the at home loving care. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials to the Portage County APL, PO Box 927, Ravenna, OH 44266.
