Douglas M Basinger

Douglas M. Basinger, 82, of Windham, passed away Saturday October 26, 2024 at the Arbors at Stow.  He was born February 18, 1942 in Waynesburg, PA to the late Harry and Edna Mae (Stillwagon) Basinger.  Mr. Basinger has lived in Windham the past 31 years and was formerly of Ravenna.  He retired after 34 years of service at the Eaton Corp. in Mantua, where he worked in Quality Control.  He was a very proud veteran of the US Army.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings Harry, Jr., Robert, Raleigh, Carl, Don, Peggy and Betty.  Survivors include his children Renee (Allen) Lorinchack, Keith (Crystal) Basinger, Denise Croft, his grandchildren Brittney, Savannah, John, Kendall, Jackson and his siblings Gene Basinger, Bonnie Shipman and Jim Basinger.  Graveside services will be 1:00 PM Friday November 1, 2024 at Drakesburg Cemetery Freedom Twp., Ohio.  A celebration of life service will be 3:00 PM Saturday November 2, 2024 at the Freedom Township Hall.  Condolences and memories of Douglas may be shared with his family at www.sscfuneralhomes.com.
