Douglas A. Gibson

Douglas A. Gibson, age 60 of Ravenna, passed away on March 26, 2018. Douglas was born on February 2, 1958 in Ravenna, OH to the late Paul and Merium Gibson. He graduated from Southeast High School, and graduated Nazarene Bible  College in Colorado Springs with a Pastoral Degree.  Douglas  dedicated his life to Christ and helping others. Douglas worked as an Associate Pastor at Leavittsburg Church of the Nazarene and  the Lexington, KY Free Methodist Church. He was also a former DJ of Strictly Jesus with Power and Praise, and an avid Star Trek Fan. He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years Barbara Gibson, and their daughter Linsey (Scott) Allmer. He is also survived by his parents-in-law Robert E. Keslar Sr. and  Norma Keslar,  brother Steve (Carol) Gibson, sisters Linda (Bruce) Klein and Carol (Bill) Bauman, and step-grandchild Ashley, step-great-grandchildren Caden and Dillon, and cats Sunny and Mittens. A Celebration of Life will be held at Maplewood Christian Church on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at 11AM. A private family service has taken place, with interment at Edinburg Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to any Kidney Foundation, or to the family.
