Edith L. (Price) Swaney

Edith L. Swaney, 92, of Streetsboro, passed away Monday June 5, 2023 at Kensington Care Center in Aurora, Ohio.  She was born June 13, 1930 in Mannington, WVA to the late Joseph and Goldie (Haught) Price.  Mrs. Swaney had been a member of the Streetsboro United Methodist Church, a lifetime member of the Streetsboro American Legion Post 685 and was a charter member of the Streetsboro VFW Post 9716.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years Lester Swaney who passed away in 1984, as well as five brothers and one sister who also died previously.  Survivors include her children Gloria Swaney, Roger D. (Jacqueline) Swaney, Joseph A. (Heather) Swaney, five grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren, two sisters and one brother.  There will be no calling hours or funeral services, in honoring her wishes, cremation has taken  place and she will be laid to rest next to her husband in Grandview Memorial Park Ravenna, Ohio.  Condolences and memories of Edith may be shared with her family at www.sscfuneralhomes.com.
