Edith "Edi" V. (Alexander) Bland

Edith Vada (Alexander) "Edi" Bland of Brimfield passed away Monday, January 10, 2022 at the UH Portage Medical Center  in Ravenna, Ohio.  On January 3, 1947 Edi was born in Chillicothe, Ohio.  She has lived in the Brimfield area most of her life and worked at Rockwell Automation was a caregiver for home health care.  Edi was a thoughtful friend and mother who was always lifting others up.  She was known for her amazing cooking, love of nature and her witty comments, but most of all how deeply she loved her family especially her children.  In addition to her mother, Bernice Houser, and brother, James Alexander, we are confident that Edi ran into the arms of her dear son  Danny James Bland and celebrated a long awaited reunion in Heaven.  Those left to cherish her memory are her children Troy (Toni) Bland, April (Gary) Miller, Laura (Phil) Neglia Summer (Roger) Carpenter, Ember (Lee) Kommel,  Schar (Brent) Oswald, her grandchildren, Adam, Beau, Matt, Gabrielle, Cady, Josh, Justin, David, Jordan, Faith, Jacob, Joey, Noah, Nikki, Hannah, Jonah and Joy as well as her great grandchildren, h,er sister, Roxanne (Creasap) Hughes, nieces and nephews and all that held a special place in her heart.  Edi's love stretched further than her children to include Carma  and Autumn who she loved as her own.  The family is honoring her wishes for cremation and a celebration of life service will be held at a later date.  She will be laid to rest in Restland Cemetery Brimfield, Ohio.
