Edna (Dennis) Nething

Edna Nething 95 of Ravenna Township passed away Friday, March 27, 2020 at the Woodlands Health and Rehabilitation Center in Ravenna. She was born September 8, 1924 in New Martinsville, WV to Charles and Estella Dennis. Edna was a member of the Ravenna First Church of God where she enjoyed quilting for many years with the other ladies of the church. Edna was also an avid bowler for many years. She will always be remembered as a stay at home mother spending most of her time in the kitchen cooking, baking and canning home grown vegetables and fruits. Survivors include her sons Larry (Debbie) Nething, Dwight Nething and Gary (Krisann) Nething, 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Walter in 1997 and 8 siblings. A private burial has taken place at Grandview Memorial Park in Ravenna. Memorial calling hours will be from 11 AM until time of memorial service at 12 PM on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at the Ravenna First Church of God with Reverend Alan Fletcher officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel.
