Edsel Sterling Hager 89 of Shalersville died Tuesday, October 17, 2017. He was born June 29, 1928 in Logan, WV to Herbert and Margaret (Curry) Hager. Edsel was a US Army veteran, a member of the Ravenna Freewill Baptist Church and was a truck driver for Commercial Lovelace Trucking. Survivors include his children Belinda Hager, Charlotte Hager, James (Charlene) Hager and Bill (Debi) Hager, 9 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren and 1 great great great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Madeline, grandson Kenneth and brothers Robert Damer Hager and Alonzo C. Hager. A graveside service will be held at 12:30 PM Friday, October 20, 2017 at Riverside Cemetery in Shalersville. Pastor Mike Brooks officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Streetsboro Chapel.
