Edward C. Taylor

Edward C. Taylor 72 of Akron passed away Sunday January 8, 2012 at the Kent Center in Kent, Ohio.  He was born August 8, 1939 in Ravenna  to the late Earl and Hattie Mae (Hicks) Taylor.  Mr. Taylor has been a lifelong Ravenna resident, was a veteran of the US Army and was a job placement specialist.  Survivors include his son Curtis of Akron,his grandchildren Makaylee and Isabella Taylor of Akron , his god children Victor (Shannon) Taylor, Tamara Lott, his brothers  William "Rick" Taylor of Las Vegas, Bernard (Dorothy) Taylor of Toledo, Victor (Patricia ) Taylor of Ravenna, Ronald Taylor of Akron and his sister Catherine Brown of Akron.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers Donald and Gerald and sister Annabelle Reynolds.  Burial and Military services will be  1:00 PM Friday January 20, 2012 at the Ohio  Western  Reserve Cemetery Rittman, Ohio.  Memorial services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday January ray 21, 2012 at New Mount Calvary Baptist  Ravenna, Ohio with Rev. B.J. Grant officiating.
