Dr. Edward John Yarolin

Dr. Edward John Yarolin, age 91, passed away on a Sunday afternoon at St. Barnabas Senior Care Home in Gibsonia, PA on June 8th, 2025.

Edward was born in Edinburg, Ohio on October 9th, 1933, the son of Mary and John Yarolin, both deceased. He attended school in Edinburg, Ohio and Southeast High School.

He received his pre-med degree from Notre Dame and went on to receive his DO degree from Des Moines University, College of Osteopathic Medicine. Edward traveled to California to get his medical degree from UC Irvine and then settled in the San Francisco Bay area to set up his medical practices.

Edward is survived by his sister Carole (Joseph) Stein, nephews Johathan (Barbara) Stein, Brian (Cindy) Stein, and grandniece Taylor Stein and grandnephew Zachary Stein.

Edward’s love of the “West” provided time for his favorite sports, hunting and fishing, and world traveling.

His ashes will be inurned with his parents at their graves in Grandview Memorial Park near Ravenna, Ohio on August 30th, 2025.

He will be missed by all who knew him.

Family will receive friends at the Shorts-Spicer-Crislip Funeral Home, 141 Meridian St., Ravenna, on Saturday, August 30, 2025, from 11am until the memorial service, officiated by Chaplain William Wisniewski, beginning at 12pm.  Inurnment at Grandview Memorial Park will immediately follow.
