Eileen R. (Cady) Stiffler

Eileen Rose (Cady) Stiffler 71 of Ravenna passed away Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at Robinson Memorial Hospital. She was born August 6, 1943 in Brimfield, to the late Earl and Bertha (Meloy) Cady.  Eileen retired after  22 years of working as a grant writer for Portage County Regional  Planning Commission. She enjoyed gardening, crossword puzzles, reading, playing scrabble, walking and hiking.  She will be sadly missed by  her daughter, Susan Stiffler Miller, sons, Joseph (Susanne) Stiffler, Christopher (Jessica) Stiffler, grandchildren, Joel, Alexander, Sean, Mikaila, sisters, Virginia (Dan) Brearley, Shirley (Al) McCaulley, Betty June (Glen) Arbogast, and Sharon (Carl) Thompson. Brothers, Robert Cady, Richard Cady and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was preceded by her husband Robert Stiffler, 2 infants sons, Anthony, George, and her son-in-law, Ian Miller. Memorial Calling hours will be held from 2:00 PM until the time of the service at 4:00 PM Saturday, December 13, 2014, at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel. Don Kainrad will be officiating.  Interment will be held at a later date in Restland Cemetery in Brimfield. Donations can be made to the Center of Hope at www.fcsohio.org in Eileen's name.
