Eileen E. (Klemm) Wilson

Eileen E. Wilson of Ravenna passed away Sunday, January 25, 2015.
She was born September 14, 1928 in Wheeling, WV, to the late Clarence and Ella (Simmons) Klemm. Eileen graduated from Ravenna High School in 1946 and retired in 1992 as an Executive Secretary from AMETEK/Lamb Electric in Kent after working there for 46 years. She and her husband Ron of 64 years spent many years showing horses and devoted many years to putting on the Portage County Charity Horse Show. For their efforts in this community endeavor, they were awarded the Ravenna Chamber of Commerce Raven Award for Outstanding Community Service in 1982, and in 1998 were selected as the Balloon A-Fair Parade Co-Grand Marshals.
Eileen is survived by her husband Ron, brother and sister-in-law Wally and Dorothy Wilson; nephews Bill Flinn of Chesterland, Gregory (Beejay) Wilson of Great Falls, Virginia, Bruce (Lynne) Wilson of Broadview Heights, Scott Wilson (Lisa Pfeilsticker) of Ravenna; nieces Linda (Dennis) Anderson of Kent, Nancy (Paul) Pryatel of Highland Heights, Lori (Rick) Jacek of Sylvania, Karen Johnson of Garrettsville, Janet (Bruce) Hartley of Lakewood, and niece-in-law Rosemary Wilson of Ravenna. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Virginia Flinn, and nephew Stephen Wilson.
Calling hours will be held from 6:30-8:30 PM on Wednesday, January 28th, at the Shorts-Spicer-Crislip Funeral Homes in Ravenna. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, January 29th, at the First United Methodist Church of Ravenna with Rev. Bruce Hartley officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery Ravenna, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to the Portage Animal Protective League, 8122 Infirmary Road, Ravenna, OH 44266.
