Eleanor Louise (Mcknight) Griffith

Eleanor Louise (McKnight) Griffith passed away peacefully, Wednesday, July 15, 2020. She was born December 5, 1928 in Dawson, PA to Leroy and Sarah (Newell) McKnight. Eleanor was married to Thomas Griffith for 41 years prior to his death in 2000. She was a longtime resident of Portage County and retired from Vale Edge Sparkle Market in Ravenna. Eleanor is survived by her children, Faye (Craig) Donoughe, Sara (Gary) Kline and Evan (Sherry) Griffith, grandchildren Brent, Tyler (Tresa) and Cray Donoughe, Alison (Adam) French, Stacy and Kayla Kline, Zachary, Anna and Neil Griffith, great granddaughter Addison French, nephew Gary (Sharon) Cooke, niece Joyce Cooke, sisters-in-law who were more like her own sisters Marcene Sorboro and Joanne Butz, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Faye (Edward) Cooke and Frances (Bernard) Gechoff and nephew Richard Cooke. Memorial calling hours will be from 12:00 PM unit time of memorial service at 1 :00 PM Saturday, July 25, 2020 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel. (THE FAMILY REQUIRES EVERYONE ATTENDING TO WEAR A MASK) Reverend Norma Bates will officiate.In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Eleanor's name to the Center of Hope, 1081 W. Main Street, Ravenna, OH 44166 or the charity of the donors choice.
