Eleanore (Kulik) Krakowski

Eleanore Krakowski  91 of Kent passed away Saturday May 14, 2011 at Anna  Marie Nursing Home  in Aurora, Ohio.  She was born February 21, 1920 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Stefan and Antoinette (Kocuba) Kulik.  She has lived in Kent since 2001 and was formerly  of  Ravenna.  Mrs. Krakowski retired from Marymount Hospital in Garfield where she worked as  a LPN and from 1960 to 1973 her and her husband owned and operated Shortys Drive In in Twinsburg.  She was a member of St. Patrick Church in Kent and the Young at Heart Group at Immaculate Conception Church in Ravenna.  Survivors include her  sons Tom (Emma) Krakowski in Alliance,  OH Jerome (Marlene) Krakowski of Concord, OH, Ronald V. Krakowski of Kent,  OH, daughters Marilyn Iwan of Twinsburg, OH, Kathleen Maresh of Hiram, OH, nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and sister Jane Pieronek of California.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Edward V. Krakowski in 1972 and one sister and one brother.   Calling hours will be 2-4 & 6-8 PM Monday May 16, 2011 at Shorts-Spicer-Crislip Funeral Homes 141 N. Meridian St. Ravenna, Ohio 44266.  Mass of Christian burial will be 10:00 AM Tuesday May 17, 2011 at St. Patricks Church in Kent, Ohio with Fr. Richard Pantello officiating.  Burial will follow  in All Saints Cemetery Northfield, Ohio.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to the American Cancer Society or Donors favorite Charity.  Memorias may be shared with the family at www.sscfuneralhomes.com.
