Elizabeth Mae Corbett, 100 of Warren and formerly of Palmyra, Ohio passed away at her residence on Wednesday December 4, 2013. She was born November 2, 1913 in Beaver Falls, PA to the late Joseph and Naomi (Powell) Beetler. Mrs. Corbett was a past worthy matron for the Palmy Chapter #114 Order of the Eastern Star, a member of the Crossroads Community Church in Shalersville and had worked for the Agriculture and Conservation office in Ravenna as a clerk, a nurses aide for Robinson Memorial Hospital, the Oak Rubber Company and had retired from Paeco Rubber as an inspector after 19 years of service. Survivors include her children Ralph (Carolyn) Corbett of Palmyra, Shirley (Bernard) Taylor of Rootstown, Donna Jean Iverson of Palmyra and Joan (Tom) McGinley of Warren. Mrs. Corbett has 12 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 10 great great grandchildren and her sister Ruth Strong of Plano, TX also surviving. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Ray A. Corbett on August 25, 1992 after 62 years of marriage, her grandson Richard Taylor and her son in law Robert Iverson. Calling hours will be 5-8 PM Monday December 9, 2013 at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel and on Tuesday December 10, 2013 from 10:00 Am until time of funeral services at 11:00 AM at the Crossroads Community Church with Pastor Keith McKight officiating. Eastern Star services will be 4:45 PM on Monday at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services at West Cemetery Palmyra, Ohio.
