Elizabeth M. "Betty" (Biltz) King

Elizabeth M. "Betty" King, 90, of Rootstown passed to her Heavenly life on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at her home. She was born April 15, 1929 in Rootstown, Ohio to Rudolph and Clara (Knapp) Biltz. Betty was an active member of St. Peter of the Fields Church in Rootstown where she served as an organist, taught Sunday school and belonged to the Altar and Rosary Society.   She was also a Cub Scout Leader, Poll Worker for the Board of Elections, and a volunteer for the Red Cross and the Clothing Center.  Betty loved her time as a baker for the Rootstown School system. She was steadfast in her devotion to faith, family and friends. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Gerald R. "Jerry" King, whose enduring care and support showcased their true love on a daily basis.  Other survivors include her children Janet Berta, Jennifer (Ken) Pospichel, Tom King, John (Andrea) King, Mary (Tom) Fesemyer, and Becky King; grandchildren Erin Bulat, Megan Dillon, Greg Pospichel, Kara Smith, Kevin Pospichel, Ryan King, Anna King, Emily King, Jaime Morgan, Kelley Danes, and Jillian Bergman; great-grandchildren Max, Sawyer, Morgan, Madden, Amelia, Eliana, Jack, Blake, and Jason; and a sister, Shirley Riemenschneider. She was preceded in death by her parents and 6 siblings. Calling hours will be from 10 AM until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at St. Peter of the Fields Church in Rootstown. Father David Misbrener will officiate.  Burial will follow in St. Peter of the Fields Cemetery in Rootstown. Arrangements have been entrusted to Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Altar and Rosary Society at St. Peter of the Fields, 3847 Old Forge Road, Rootstown, OH 44272.
