Elmer L Gilanyi

Elmer L. Gilanyi, 93 of Braceville Twp. passed away Thursday December 9, 2021 at Trumbull Regional Medical Center in Warren, Ohio.  He was born November 17, 1928 in Warren, Ohio to the late John and Elizabeth Ann (Szakacs) Gilanyi.  Elmer has lived in Braceville the past 65 years  and was a retired teamster truck driver from Ohio Fast Freight.  He was a veteran of the US Army serving in the Korean Conflict.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife Elona "Dolly" Gilanyi on March 25, 2020 and siblings by John Gilanyi, Betty Gamble, Eleanor Kopp and Margaret Rumple.  Survivors include his children Debbie (William) Ball, Laura (Earl) Devenport, Don (Lisa) Gilanyi, Roger (Jackie) Gilanyi, his grandchildren Christian and Nathaniel Ball, Adam (Amber) and Christopher Devenport, Zackary and Skyler Gilanyi, Ryder and Rydge Gilanyi, his great grandchildren Colton and Lucas Devenport and siblings Robert Gilanyi and Irene Durst.  In honoring his request, cremation has taken place and private family services will be held at a later date.  Condolences and memories of Elmer may be shared with his family  at www.sscfuneralhomes.com.
