Elmon Short

Elmon Short, Sr. 88 of Ravenna passed away Friday October 15, 2010 at the Akron General Medical Center. He was born February 18, 1922 in Hindman, KY to the late Robert and Ora (Slone) Short and has lived in Ravenna since 1961. Mr. Short was a veteran of the US Army serving in WW II, a member of the Ravenna Moose #1234 and retired from Chrysler Corporation in Twinsburg. Survivors include his son Elmon (Linda) Short, Jr. of Margeno, OH., daughter Lana (Brandon) Peske of Ravenna, seven grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and brother Agnel Short of Garner, KY. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Marie Hall. Calling hours will be from 11:00 AM until time of funeral services at 12 Noon on Wednesday October 20, 2010 at the Shorts-Spicer-Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel with Rev. Bill Snyder Officiating. Entombment will follow in Grandview Memorial Park Ravenna, Ohio. The family requests contributions to the American Heart Association.
