Emma L. Smith 90 of Ravenna died Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at Hospice of Medina. She was born October 18, 1926 in Ravenna to Ben and Ruby (Merrills) Brown. Mrs. Smith was a lifelong Ravenna resident, was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and worked as a custodian for Ravenna High School. Survivors include her daughter Becky Reedy and son Bruce Smith both of Ravenna, 4 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren and a brother Alton Brown of Arizona. Calling hours will be from 3 PM to 7 PM Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel. Funeral services will be at 11 AM Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at the funeral home with Reverend David Ballert officiating. Burial will follow in Maple grove Cemetery in Ravenna. In lieu of flowers memorials should be made to Bethel Baptist Church, 745 N. Freedom Street, Ravenna, Ohio 44266.
