Evah Lou (Towner) Kapella 70 of Ravenna, Ohio passed away June 6, 2013 after a brief illness. She was born and raised in Lanesboro, PA. having graduated from Susquehanna Community High School. She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Eva Kapella, in-laws Arthur and Bertha Towner, husband Robert Towner, brothers Frederick and Frank Prentice, and grandson, Nicholas Hand. Evah is survived by Judson Towner, William Towner, daughter Mary (Dan) Hand and granddaughter Brittany Hand, as well as special cousin Judy and many dear and close friends in PA and Ohio. Evah Lou worked as a secretary in Binghamton, NY for several years, then she and her husband bought the local bowling alley in Oakland, PA. She was the promoter and with her personality, in no time at all, every family had someone signed up to bowl. Later she went to work at Pennstar Bank, Susquehanna, PA. After relocating to Ohio, she worked and retired from Ohio Reality Group. She enjoyed many activities in the community, such as working with the Bowling Associations, setting up tournaments, member of the First United Methodist Church, especially Century Club, member of Gill Chapter #5, Order of the Eastern Star and member of the Red Hatters. She touched the lives of almost everyone she met, from the hundreds of children she taught how to bowl, to all the close friends she made wherever she worked and lived. Forever a positive person, she loved to have fun, entertain everyone, and travel wherever and whenever she wanted. Her bags are packed again and she is on the road again,, Heaven will have a new angel soon. At her request, there will be a private family service held at a later date.
