Evangeline (Plesotis) Wawrin

Evangeline Wawrin 83 of Winter Haven, FL died Friday, June 15, 2012. She was born September 1, 1928 in Cleveland, Ohio to James (Demetreos) and Nellie May (Smith) Plesotis. Evangeline was proud of her Greek heritage, grew up in Mantua, OH, enjoyed needle point, her pets and was an avid Cleveland Indians fan. In her later years in Florida, she enjoyed sitting in her garage and watching people pass by. Survivors include her stepdaughters Sue Kareski and Judy Wallace both of Cuyahoga Falls, OH son Thomas Plesotis of Cleveland, OH nieces Laura Salsky and Terri Resh, nephews Roger and Scott Plesotis, Charles and Harold Hood. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Peter Wawrin, sister Mary Hood and brother George Plesotis. Private burial has taken place in Westlawn Cemetery in Mantua. Arrangements have been entrusted to Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Streetsboro Chapel.
