Evelyn J. (Dexter) Tipton

Evelyn J. Tipton 70 of Streetsboro passed away Monday May 30, 2016 at UH Portage Medical Center in Ravenna, Ohio. She was born June 20, 1945 in Ravenna, Ohio to the late James R. and Era Evelyn (Huff) Dexter. Evelyn has lived in Streetsboro the past nine years and was formerly of Palm Coast, Florida. She retired from General Electric in Ravenna and after retirement, she was working part time for the Hudson Police Department as a crossing guard. She enjoyed doing crafts and was a member of the Ravenna Moose Lodge 1234. Survivors include her husband Frank Tipton, her son Donald Sloey of Florida, her step children Darlene (Jeff Garlitz) Tipton of Streetsboro, Jerry (Mary) Tipton of Mantua, Dean (Isabelle) Tipton of Mexico, three grandchildren, brother Robert (Sharon) Dexter of Ravenna and step brother Ronald (Debbie) Dexter of Florida. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter Kathy Federoff. Memorial services will be 11:00 Am Saturday June 11, 2016 at St. Thomas Lutheran Church in Streetsboro, Ohio.
