Ewing (Moe) Dewaine Franks

Ewing (Moe) Dewaine Franks, 86 of Garrettsville formerly of Garfield Heights, passed away on Friday, August 16, 2024 at the Longmeadow Care Center in Ravenna. Moe was born on May 12, 1938 in Uledi, Pennsylvania to his late parents Hobert and Ethel (Campbell) Franks. He worked many years in metal stamping, retiring from Columbia Metal Stamping. Moe was a proud service member of the United States Army and an avid fan of both  the  Pittsburgh Steelers and The Cleveland Guardians. He spent many hours on his favorite pastime, putting together jigsaw puzzles.  Being a member of the First Congregational Church of Freedom, he loved his church family and loved his savior, Jesus Christ.  Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers Orville, Paul, and Bill and sisters Nan and Dolly.   Moe is survived by his step-daughters Brenda (Tom) Mesaros and Kay (Dale) Gapas of North Carolina, 4 step-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews of Uniontown, PA. Per his request, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday, August 22, 2024 at 6:00PM at the First Congregational Church of Freedom, 8972 OH-88, Windham, OH 44288.
