Flora M. (Archer) Kotkowski

Flora M. Kotkowski, 93 of Ravenna, passed away Sunday January 26, 2020 at the Arbors of Streetsboro.  Flora was born on June 24, 1926 in Kent, Ohio to the late Herbert and Mary C. (Smith) Archer.  She has lived in Ravenna the past 19 years where she was a fixture around town, she was known to always having a knack of collecting smiles and enjoyed eating at Quidos. Prior to living in Ravenna she was formerly of Shalersville and Kent.  From 1946 to 1981 she developed her legacy of touching a lot of lives, working in the nursery at Robinson Memorial Hospital (UH Portage) with all those babies being born.  She was proud of learning sign language from the time she learned to talk  because her parents were deaf and also a had a love of animals.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her second mother Rilla Archer,  her husband Elmer Kotkowski on July 22, 1992, her brother Herbert Archer, Jr and her twin sister Florence who died at birth.  Survivors include her nephews Paul and John Archer, her niece Mary Lou Daniels and many other nieces, nephews and friends.  Calling hours will be 6-8 PM Wednesday January 29, 2020 at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel where funeral services will be 10:00 Am on Thursday January 30, 2020.
