Frances L. Croft 74 of Atwater died Monday, August 28, 2017. She was born August 14, 1943 in Spencer, WV to James F. and Garnet J. (Starcher) Greathouse. Frances has lived in Atwater since 1977, was a member of the Atwater United Methodist Church, Atwater Lions Club, Poll worker for Portage County Board of Elections and enjoyed Leisure Lake. Survivors include her children Larry (Mary) Croft, David (Dorothy) Croft and Ed (Renee) Croft, 10 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and sister Cathy L. (Pete) Magizzini. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles in 2004, sister Beverly Newman and brothers Ted and Gary Greathouse. Calling hours will be from 5 - 7 PM Thursday, August 31, 2017 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel and from 10 AM until time of funeral service at 11 AM Friday, September 1, 2017 at Atwater United Methodist Church, 6380 Waterloo Road, Atwater, Ohio 44201. Reverend Ruth I. Roth will officiate. Private burial will take place in Atwater Cemetery at a later date.
