Frances Allene (Mckay) Sorensen

Frances Allene Sorensen, 95, passed away on Sunday, October 14, 2012, at Robinson Memorial Hospital. She was born on December 9, 1916 in Des Moines, Iowa to the late Louis and Minnie E. (Tingley) McKay. Frances grew up in Chicago and moved to Ravenna in 1945. She was the owner of Allenes Beauty Shop for 60 years. She was also a member of the Portage County Society of the Blind and Business Professional Women's Club. Frances attended the First Christian Church of Ravenna. She is survived by her loving friends, Mary Lou and Frank Miller of Ravenna. In addition to her parents, Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Harold William Sorensen. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the First Christian Church, 420 S. Prospect Street, Ravenna, OH 44266.
